This property is equipped with a hard-wired inverter.
This double story home can be accessed from either Odland Street or the quieter Duminy Street. Odland access has a remoted controlled gate leading to an open enclosed driveway parking. A few stairs lead to the front door and main living area. The driveway parking can accommodate 3-4 vehicles.
From Duminy Street, There is driveway parking for 2 vehicles. The garage can be made available on request to store bicycles, trailer, beach equipment. From the driveway, a flight of stairs leads up through the garden and then the external staircase. The guest bedrooms are on this level. The external staircase leads up to the main patio and braai area with stunning views of the sea, lagoon and mountains. Large glass sliding doors open into the spacious open-plan living area.
There is a TV lounge with smart TV, indoor fireplace, an indoor dining table seating 8. A semi-separate kitchen has recently been redone, modern and functional.
The outdoor patio has a covered dining and seating area. The dining table seating 8. There is a built-in braai, Weber braai and a dart-board – all with lovely views of the bay.
The main bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. Stairs lead down to the guest bedrooms, garden and laundry room. You will have access to the master bedroom upstairs which will be made up, but the guest bedrooms downstairs will not be made up if you book the 2 sleeper option. You will have access to the whole house and no other guests will be in residence during your stay.
BEDROOM AND BATHROOM:
Main Bedroom: King sized bed with lovely sea-views. Doors lead onto the balcony. There are block-out curtains. Full en-suite Bathroom: Bath, Shower, Double Basin and Toilet.
Accommodation & facility check list:
- Cleaning lady included in the rental for Tuesdays. The cleaning lady knows the property and has her own access allowing you more free time. She works for the owners regularly and other tenants.
- Bed linen, bath and beach towels are provided.
- Flat screen TV in the lounge is connected to Premium DSTV decoder.
- Wi-Fi is uncapped at 50mbps.
- There is an inverter which powers the plugs and lights but not the oven, washing machine, dishwasher, etc.
- Cooking: 4 plate gas hob and Electric oven. Gas top kettle.
- Coffee machine, X1 Combo Fridge/Freezer and dishwasher in the kitchen.
- The laundry downstairs is equipped with a Top-loader washing machine and tumble drier.
- Braai: There is a Weber braai for you to use, with charcoal or a built-in braai to use with wood or charcoal.
- Beach Equipment: One set of beach towels, a beach umbrella and two beach chairs are available for use.
- X2 Outdoor sun-loungers available on request.
- The garage is locked and excluded from the rental. If you need use of it to store bicycles, equipment, please let me know at time of booking as I can make it available for use.
- No pets allowed.
- Important: For those with allergies: The owners do bring their dogs when down on holiday. While the property may be cleaned and carpets professionally cleaned, there may still be trace hairs.
- Non-smoking home.
- There are 4 stairs to access the front door and main living area from the Odlands entrance and another longer staircase at the Dumiy entrance.
- Please note that there is one private room cupboard in the main bedroom which is locked and excluded from the booking.
- The house is equipped with an alarm system, cameras and electric fencing.
- The cameras on the patio and lounge will be covered during any stays.
